Minutes of the meeting of the Parish Council held Monday 5th December 2005 7.00pm in the village hall.

Matters arising
There were none.
District Councillor's report
J Stimson had attended the Park Homes AGM last Monday.
Mrs H Hutton had been re-elected as Chair. SODC has asked for a plan of action for the improvements
from the site owner but nothing was forthcoming as yet. Some outstanding issues had been
addressed. The recreation ground was in a poor state. A report was going to the Scrutiny Committee
this month.
Regarding planning enforcement, a large sum of money (£280.000) had been requested in next
year's budget to increase planning staff. They would of course have to be trained.
From next April the district council would be expected to provide free travel on local buses for the
over 60s and disabled passengers. This of course would not help those villages without a service.

Playgrounds - update M Robson asked for this to be deferred until January because only 3
of the 6 requested quotes had been received. . Minor repairs had been completed and Safe
and Sound work was in hand. | |

Grasscutting 2006 It was unanimously agreed to request BCB to quote for next year's
grasscutting on a rolling agreement based on costs for this year plus an increase in line with
the retail prices index.
