Matters arising
A meeting for February 16 had been arranged to discuss a combined villages
group to fight the proposals for development on the Green Belt.
The Fringe Forum had been attended by N Northcott and M Hills, the main subject had been
policing and no satisfactory answers had been obtained from the police in answer to questions
from the floor. There was now no liaison committee. It was possible that the area forums would be
discontinued.
A letter had been
received from Sergeant Reaney regarding the nuisance caused by motor cycle riding. He is a
member of the Rosehill and Littlemore Community Beat team and he could offer no help but
advised that the best remedy was for landowners to fence the ground securely. Clerk would write to
Donnington Hospital Trust once more and copy police advice to them.
District Councillor's report
J Stimson drew the attention of the parish council to the proposed
changes to licensing laws arrangements.
He reported that the Task Group for Model Standards in
Park Homes had been set up. It would require visits to sites and a method for enforcing phased
introduction of the Model Standards to inconvenience residents as little as possible. An interim
report was due in May and a final one in July.
The Local Plan
process was underway, a meeting had been held on Jan 27 to discuss the process, matters concerning
Didcot would be discussed last. He suggested checking the SODC website to monitor progress.
