THE PORCH
Steppin' Stone Centre
|
The Porch is a drop-in cafe in East Oxford
where isolated and needy people can go for warmth,
companionship and refreshments.
The local church gives support and aid, with the Harvest Festival and the Christmas Carol service. Also there is a box, just inside the church door, for donations of biscuits, cuppa-soups, tea, coffee, sugar, etc. See the Autumn 2005 issue of The Link, for a recent update.
Gifts at Harvest Festival are also very welcome. There is a letter from the porch is in the Autumn 2002 issue of The Link. There is also the start of a new project is underway, for a new Steppin Stone Centre, see the Winter 2002 issue of The Link. For more information see The Porch web site at: |
