 and PARISH PLAN After many months of work on the Village Appraisal, the Parish Plan was delivered to all households in the village early in January 2005. It has been generally well received with many complementary comments to those involved. A few copies are still available for those new to the village wishing to see the appraisal results and the proposals for the future development of the village. This section of the website contains much of the work carried out by the Village Appraisal group leading up to the production of the Parish Plan. The diary lists key events from the initial idea in August 2003, through its many stages including the Draft Action Plan in 2004, and the final Parish Plan in 2005. The more details page gives the background to what a Village Appraisal is, and an overview of the stages in completing the project. The outcome of the consultation stage is given on the questionnaire results pages, this is split into the five main sections covered by the appraisal. People were encouraged to give their comments and suggestions, and many did giving a wide range of views, these are also listed under the same five sections. The resulting Draft Action Plan was drawn up after considering all the major concerns raise by the village. This was distributed in time for the village fete, where the Village Appraisal Group had a display marquee. After consultation by the Parish Council, the final Parish Plan was completed early in 2005, containing 13 topics areas with some 32 action points. Some of these are topics are the basis for projects which are already underway, to implement the actions described in the Parish Plan, and several others will be starting soon. As these continue to develop, the progress reports will updated accordingly. However all are dependent on the active support of villagers to make the overall plan a success. The Parish Plan was reviewed by the Parish Council in January 2006, some progress continues to be made. The Parish Plan was again reviewed by the Parish Council in March 2008, and concluded that matters were well in hand. |
