Our village of Sandford, as the name suggests, is situated along side the river Thames, and is just a few miles to the south of the city of Oxford, England.
This web site is my attempt to bring, to a wider audience using the modern format of the web, some of the past and present events in and around Sandford, based on the local village magazine.

You can browse through a copy of the latest issue of the The Link magazine. There is also a general subject index covering of all issues of the village magazine since 1981.
Also, most of the recent details from the Sandford-on-Thames Parish Council, along with some useful background information. You can also read all about the developments in the current Village Appraisal.
There is a section giving details about Sandford village hall, and a Local Diary of current events, and results from the local river run. Also there are a few links to other local web sites.

You can search the site or look through the site map. More technical details about the SandfordOnThames.co.uk web site can be found on the site information page.

A brief History and Guide to the village was printed in Winter 2001 issue of The Link, and a Local Directory can be found in the centre of the Winter 2006 issue.
You can also find some photos of the local floods after the heavy rain in July 2007.

Please, have a look round and why not let me know what you think.
